Fred Kaustinen is Founder and Principal at Governedge Inc. – a police governance consulting firm. Since 2000, Fred has assisted dozens of police boards and commissions across Canada, and loves what he does!
He currently serves as Chief Governance Officer at Halton Police Board, and is assisting the Manitoba First Nations Police Commission and Kingston Police Services Board. He was the Executive Director of the Ontario Association of Police Boards (OAPSB) from 2009-2021, and recently assisted the Alberta Association of Police Governance and provided training to the Hamilton Police Services Board.
Fred is a lifelong learner and athlete, and a decorated army veteran. He is a graduate of Royal Roads MBA program and the Institute of Corporate Directors’ program (the ICD).
